Ukulele Wall Hanger February 20, 2017 One of Andrew’s many endeavors has been learning to play the ukulele. Just think summer mornings in Newport, Rhode Island, sitting outside and eating breakfast to the sounds of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I’m not kidding. Now, as I have recently learned, there are different kinds of ukuleles, and for Christmas, Andrew asked for a second one. I thought a holder to display the two ukuleles in Andrew’s man cave would be a nice gift. Ukulele holders actually relatively easy to make; the hardest

Hot Cocoa Bar December 18, 2016 The holidays this year have kept me plenty busy; between family time, decking the halls, and Etsy orders, I haven't had much time to explore some of the projects and ideas I have floating around in my head, let alone sit down and write about them. Still, I wanted to make sure that I expressed some Christmas cheer this season, and what better way to do it than by talking about my Hot Cocoa Bar! The finished product. So first, the back story. When I throw parties, I like for there to be some

Our Fixer Upper - My Craft Room July 06, 2016 It has been FAR too long since I last posted; between working and Bar studying, I haven’t had any time to even think about crafting. But with work now done until after the Bar, my evenings are once again free and I finally have a little time to catch up with my gardening, project planning, and blogging. Today, I’ve decided to nostalgically look back on a time when my craft room was a creative space and not a hot mess of outlines, notecards, and books that are far too large for any sane person

Time Capsule Guestbook May 18, 2016 When it came to a guestbook at our wedding, I didn't want a traditional one because, let’s face it, people rarely ever look at them again. Someone had once told me that at her wedding, they had a time capsule in place of the guestbook. The basic idea is that, instead of signing a guest book, guests leave you notes that you will not read until the specified anniversary. What I thought was great about this concept was that in twenty-five years, I could be reading notes from my grandparents. I
